A picture of me, for the first time!

Had this picture all planned out in my mind. So, I got a friend to click it at the right time for me. :)

More from the railway station..

I have made a discovery that I love talking to new people. Well, I guess almost everyone does.

Here's to new people, and new friends. :)

Another lonely bench..

With a shutter of about 1/20th or 1/30th of a second, it's pretty easy to capture the movement of these hurried passengers. :)

The lonely bench at the Railway station..

'I want to lie down on the bench and see if I can hear the dead underneath.'
-Elizabeth Scott

We were waiting for our train to leave and it was 5 AM! I had no clue what to do, so what better than to take the camera out?

My dream car..

A Ferrari Superamerica car model makes for an awesome subject in front of a nice bokeh. Nothing like a 50 mm prime to do the job. :)

Riding into the sunset..

We went on a boat safari while in Sri Lanka. I took this picture on the way back to the hotel, when my mom and brother were just talking in the front of the boat. I love this picture especially for its background. :)

The Jetwing lagoon..

I've been talking so much about this hotel! So, I said I HAVE to show you guys what it looks like. :)

Finally decided to get those pictures from Sri Lanka up..

Like I mentioned before, the hotel we stayed at was called Jetwing Lagoon. And again, like I previously mentioned, the experience was very unique and the place was breathtakingly beautiful. It was built on the shore of an actual lagoon and the restaurant was on the shore. Here's what the shore looked like.

One night, on the roof..

Yes. I know this picture doesn't have a subject, and it has no content either. The only reason I'm posting this picture is because I've always wanted to try a long exposure of the clouds, and this was my very first time. The only thing about this picture is the motion of the clouds, but that, I really like. Anyway, I won't be posting pictures without a subject after this. :P

For those who are curious about the exposure, it was a 6 and a half minute exposure, on the bulb setting. :)

The Malachite Kingfisher..

While in Sri Lanka, we went on a boat safari. It was beautiful. We didn't see too much but it sure was scenic. This is a Malachite Kingfisher, endemic to the area. Loved the colors. You will notice a slight shake as it was dark and I had to use a low shutter speed of about an 80th of a second. I'm regretting the slow shutter now, since I could have increased the brightness in post, which would have allowed me to use a higher shutter speed then, but I didn't really think of it at that time. Well, at least I won't make the same mistake the next time.

From my roof..

I haven't shown you guys any of the pictures I took in Sri Lanka yet, and I promise I will soon. I have my mid-terms going on and till everything is over, its gonna be very hard to get a hold of the drive with all the pictures from Sri Lanka. So, here's one I got recently from the roof.

What I tried to do this picture, mainly, was to make it so that the motion of the clouds could clearly be seen, and I have to say, I'm pretty happy. So I gave it an exposure of 300 seconds (5 minutes) and the light in the middle of the frame was thanks to a light in that distant area! So here it is. :)

With a 5 minute exposure, its pretty surprising but we can even see a few star trails if we look closely. I've always wanted to do a good shot of star trails. Probably one day, soon. :)
